The official launch of the Samsung Omnia W took place on 12th October and this smart phone since its launch is acquiring the greater market share. While talking to its features, as far as its size is concerned, it is neither big nor very small, making a balance between its screen size and functionality. The screen of the phone is 3.7 inch super AMOLED with a resolution of 480 x 800. Super AMOLED displays are known for their contrast – or rather lack of backlight. This has made it very beautiful. The response of the touch screen is out class and there are less chances of scratches on it.
Weight and Other Features
Omnia W is a compact phone (115.6×58.8×10.9mm) with good features and outlook. Its weight is approximately 115 grams and it is quite light and is comfortable to hold and carry. The body of the phone is mostly plastic – excluding some brushed metal on the battery cover – but the most importantly it is very strong. The phone has an industrial design, with straight lines and rounded edges, which goes well with the user interface of Mango. The Samsung Omnia W comes up with 1.4 GHz processor from Qualcomm. The memory of the phone is 8GB internal storage with 512 RAM. The major drawback of the phone is that the memory can not be enhanced further. The performance of the battery is excellent and it rated for 5.55Wh with 3.7 volts. Battery life is a strong point of Omnia W. When used with 3G the phone easily lasts 15 to 17 hours at normal use of the phone.
Camera and Multimedia
There is a 5 mega pixel camera and a LED flash. It can capture videos in 720P resolution. The front camera of the phone also supports VGA resolution. The performance of the camera in Omnia W is average due to its fewer pixels featuring capability and the photos are detailed and clearly visible but colors are little unexciting. The same is the case with 720p video and the video playback too is average. There is no HDMI out. 720P files are playable but only in MP4 format.

The battery life is great and for most of the regular functions and usage of the phone like calls, messaging, and browsing etc.
